About us
My name is Erin Leach and I have devoted nearly 30 years to rescuing, rehabilitating, and fostering bully breed dogs. I started Camp Baby Gators Dog Sitting because I have a genuine love for dogs and recognize how difficult it can be to find quality care for dogs who have behavior challenges or who others may perceive as aggressive. My resident dogs love engaging in enthusiastically "biting" each others faces and have been affectionately known as the Baby Gators since their foster fail adoptions in 2023. Everyone jokes that all the playful shelter dogs love to come here and play "bity face" with the Baby Gators!
Over the years, I have volunteered extensively at private rescues and open-intake county shelters, gaining hands-on experience with even the most challenging cases. My dog handling training and various certifications come from some of the most respected organizations in the country.
- Best Friends Animal Sanctuary
- Humane Society, Cincinnati Animal CARE
- SPCA
- Dogs Playing for Life
This training includes reading dog body language, working with all types of dogs, and applying defensive handling techniques in case of emergency.
In 2025 alone I logged over 750 volunteer hours at Cincinnati Animal CARE. One of my current CAC alumni is an American Kennel Club, Canine Good Citizen. I have also worked with several professional trainers over the years, learning valuable methods that I am happy to reinforce with your dog.
My specialty is caring for larger breed dogs with behavioral challenges, such as:
- Stranger danger or general fearfulness
- Jumpy/mouthy behaviors
- Reactivity (on leash/barrier, etc)
- Resource guarding
- Separation anxiety
As a seasoned foster and caregiver, I have welcomed and integrated more than 100 rescue dogs—and dozens of client dogs—into my home alongside my resident dogs. I follow a proven protocol I’ve developed over the years to ensure both safety and fun for everyone.
I offer a structured approach to help your dog achieve the balance they need to thrive. This includes clear communication, respect for boundaries, mental stimulation, physical exercise, affection, and maintaining their home routine as closely as possible in a new environment.
